“Zero tolerance” is costing the government so much money that they’ve even started diverting funds from Trump’s border wall to pay for it.
Arizona detention facilities reach capacity, forcing ICE to release hundreds of detainees. The agency has also stopped coordinating with non-profits, family members, etc. to make post-release arrangements for detained families. A senior DHS official says this will soon be happening across the southern border.
DHS, which oversees both ICE and FEMA, announced a temporary suspension of ICE enforcement in areas affected by hurricane Michael – though if Florence is any indication, a promise may not be enough for undocumented immigrants more fearful of ICE than Michael.
Bipartisan bill would prevent ICE from targeting sponsors of migrant children.

Wasserman-Schultz's bill now has a number, H.R 7030. It has 33 co-sponsors but only 2 are republicans. Contact your reps and tell them to sign on. This is not a political issue - it is a human caring issue.
